Gregorian New Year or Christian's New Year - January 1, New Year!
Christian New Year is celebrated on January 1 according to the Gregorian Calendar. Although it has a very interesting historical story attached to the present day New Year. Earlier New Year was celebrated according to the Julian Calendar. But the season and months didn't match due to the longevity of the Julian Calendar. In 1582, Pope Gregorian XIII introduced the modified Gregorian New Year Calendar which stated to celebrate the New Year on January 1 of every year and bring the balance between seasons and calendar. Christian across the world celebrate this day with joy and happiness and pray for togetherness. |

Christian New Year Traditions
- People consider a newborn baby as the New Year Symbol. In fact, it can be found on all the New Year banners, posters and New Year Greeting Cards. They all bear the picture of a chubby baby in diapers with a sash round his belly announcing the New Year.
